Indian Railways is preparing to launch a new premium Vande Bharat Sleeper Train between Bengaluru and Mumbai, and the proposed route is expected to pass through Guntakal, making it a major railway boost for the region.

The train is expected to run on the traditional Udyan Express corridor through:

- Kalaburagi (Gulbarga)

This route directly connects Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana railway corridors.
Why Guntakal Is Important
Guntakal is one of the largest railway junctions in South India and acts as a major interchange point for:

The new Vande Bharat Sleeper is expected to reduce travel time to:
- Around 15 to 16 hours
- Some reports suggest even 13–14 hours depending on final track upgrades and stoppages.
